Pacific Army Reserve Spring Festival

FORT SHAFTER FLATS, Hi- On Saturday 10 May 2008, 1,250 Soldiers and Family Members from the Army Reserve's 9th Mission Support Command (MSC) celebrated a day of music and entertainment at their first ever "Spring Festival" at Fort Shafter Flats. The purpose of the event was to say thank you to the soldiers and families of the 9th MSC. The Spring Festival event was designed to give back to our Soldiers and their families said COL Michael Eyre, Chief of Staff of the 9th MSC. "I can think of no better way to show our Soldiers and Families that we truly care for them and appreciate all they do for the Pacific Army Reserve."
The Spring Festival was sponsored by the 9th MSC's Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program. The festival kicked off at 3:00 pm and ended at 9:00 pm.
The event was hosted by actor Cole Hauser; guest hosted by local radio personalities Perry and Price and was catered by celebrity chef, Sam Choy. The musical entertainment guests included local Hawaiian favorites such as: Natural Vibrations, Koauka, Anuhea, Ernie Cruz, Connie & Tiff Cruz-Garcia, John Cruz, Na Leo, Henry Kapono, and Kaukahi with a special Guest appearance by Jack Johnson. All of the celebrities and the musical guests told the audience what an honor it was to be at the event.
